ART THERAPY

Single or unique? One parent families in Hungary

In families where the child is disabled or born with an illness the possibility divorce is higher. Single parent families very often have financial difficulties, their life is harder and if there is a disabled child in the family it makes their situation even more complicated. Either in finding a job, establishing a daily routine or in finding a partner, these parents have an even greater handicap, and weight on their shoulders than other single parents.

Our new program, “Single or unique?”, will concentrate especially on these single parent families. We intend to focus on their lives and situation and provide such social and supporting activities and programs which can be of any help in their everyday lives. An important element of the program is art therapy and art pedagogy, in which our partner is a Norwegian institute of music therapy, „Culture Breaks Borders”.
